The witch hysteria had been building for several weeks, and the accusations were flying. But this time, however, the accused was not one of the usual suspects.

They are two different people: Bradstreet was the last governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony. Bradbrook was a deputy marshal who was often responsible for arresting people.
